Host a face-to-face sing along at your local centre/playgroup/Mother’s Group and share a few key points about the importance connecting with your baby during everyday moments (have children sitting face-to-face with their parent/caregiver while you sing a few songs together, like Row, Row, Row Your Boat, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Open Shut Them).

Ideas for your workplace

Print off the Infant Mental Health Awareness Week 2019 poster and put it up in your workplace/waiting room/staff room (please note you can enlarge to A3). Find posters here

Host an open day at your service, where you make yourself available to answer questions.

Host a breakfast for staff to celebrate Infant Mental Health Awareness Week. Ask all staff members to bring in a baby photo so you can play a guessing game and work out ‘Who is who?’

Make June Infant Mental Health Month, and use some time in a staff meeting to bring everyone’s attention to the needs of infants.

Share a few of the free resources mentioned above on your organisation's social media page.

There may be funding available within your organisation, ask your manager and see if you can get some support to promote Infant Mental Health Awareness Week in your workplace.
